What can you do if you have personal concerns about returning to school?
1. Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) rights
Can apply for self if you have a serious medical condition that prevents you from performing your duties or for care of spouse, parent, or child. This is unpaid. Apply by contacting the superintendent’s office.
2. Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA)
Up to 10 days (80 hours for FTE, max of $5110/10 days) paid sick leave if:
- you need to quarantine -must complete request form available on MVEA website
- have COVID-19 symptoms and are waiting for a diagnosis

- taking care of someone who is in quarantine or is sick with COVID-19
